Remer Loses Two to Traffic Accidents This Week

On Wednesday Remer’s mayor, 76–year–old Howard Prushek was killed in an accident.

According to the state patrol he was changing a tire on highway six at milepost 61 when he was hit and killed by a van heading south.

The state patrol also reports 60–year–old Timothy Budrow of Bovey was the passenger in a car Wednesday that spun out on icy roads over the center line and hit another vehicle broadside on highway six.

Budrow had been an elementary teacher in Remer’s Northland community school.

The driver of the car, 56–year–old Laura Figgins of Cohasset is a second grade teacher at the same school, she is listed as being seriously injured.
