Minnesota Man Accused of Conspiring with ISIS
A Minnesota man accused of conspiring to help ISIS will be held behind bars pending a detention hearing next week.
Abdirizak Mohamed Warsame made an initial in federal court Thursday on charges of conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
According to court documents, Warsame allegedly tried to help other young men from Minnesota’s Somali community travel to Syria to fight for ISIS.
Court records reveal that Warsame and others allegedly settled on a plan of going to Syria by way of Mexico.
Nine others have also been charged in connection to the incident.
