German Christmas Market

For the 6th year in a row Superior played host to a German-style Christmas Market this year.

For the past two weekends Heike McDonald and several other local artists and crafters have been set up at the corner of Hammond and Broadway, in Superior, hawking their wares.

Selling everything from apple cider to knitted wall mounts and board games, the market celebrates Germanic and Northland christmas traditions, while allowing visitors to purchase unusual, locally sourced gifts.

Saturday marked the final day of the market for this year, but McDonald hopes to bring the event back next year.

She added that it has grown every year since its inception and she hopes it will be bigger, and better next year.
