More Child Porn Charges Against Wetterling “Person of Interest”

A federal grand jury has added even more child pornography charges against the man labeled a “person of interest” in the abduction of Jacob Wetterling.

The 25-count indictment released Wednesday allows the case to go forward against 52-year-old Danny Heinrich.

The new indictment replaces a five-count criminal complaint filed in October when Heinrich was arrested.

The indictment makes no mention of the Wetterling case.

Heinrich has denied any involvement in Wetterling’s disappearance.

Authorities have not called Heinrich a suspect and he has not been charged in Wetterling’s abduction.

The Federal Defender’s Office in Minneapolis did not respond to a request for comment on Heinrich’s behalf.
