Santa Stops By To Hit The Ice In Duluth

Santa Claus came to town a little early this week.

Santa and Rudolph made an appearance at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center Wednesday night for an open skate event hosted by the Duluth Parks and Rec. Department and the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland.

Santa said Rudolph was the only reindeer to join him because the others were up at the North Pole getting in shape for the big run next Thursday night.

He added that it’s nice to get away from the workshop this time of year and meet with the kids because he doesn’t get to see them awake when he’s out delivering toys.

Father Christmas was sure to point out that most of the children in the Twin Ports area are on the “Nice List” this year, but if they aren’t asleep when he makes his pass through Duluth, he will not be stopping at their houses.

Santa headed back to North Pole immediately after the open skate ended, saying he had a lot of work to do and only eight more days to do it.
