Police Identify Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car in West Duluth

Duluth police have identified the man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in West Duluth Saturday afternoon. 

37-year-old Brian Respler died on scene after being hit by a car in the area of Grand Avenue and Main Street. 

Police say Respler was crossing a parking lot when he was hit. 

The 27-year-old male driver is being held at the St. Louis County Jail on charges of criminal vehicular homicide, 2nd-degree DWI, and failing to drive in a single lane. 

He is expected to be formally charged Tuesday, which is when his name will be released.
