Pet Experts Warn Safety First This Winter

With the cold weather finally setting in and holidays in full swing, pet experts say now is a good time to start thinking about your little critter’s safety.

Veterinarians suggest not leaving your pets outside for extended periods of time when the temperatures drop below freezing.

They also recommend washing off your animal’s paws if they’ve walked on salty sidewalks because salt can make an animal sick if ingested.

Vets also say to avoid feeding your pets holiday meal leftovers, and to keep potentially harmful foods, like chocolate, out from under the Christmas tree.
