Visit Duluth is going through changes as it enters the new year.

Long time public relations director for Visit Duluth, Gene Shaw, is retiring and a new position has been made to take his place.

Bob Gustafson, former public relations director for Grandma’s Marathon, is the new media communications manager at Visit Duluth.

He tells us he’s excited for the new role and to work with the organization.

Gustafson said they will have a heavier presence on social media in the new year. 

He also said they’ll be busy with many events happening in 2016.
