Charges: Drunken Minnesota Man Suffocated Infant Son

A Minnesota man has been charged with second-degree manslaughter after allegedly drinking 24 beers, and suffocating his 8-week-old son.

31-year-old Cory Stucky, of Blooming Prairie, was charged last week in Steele County with second-degree manslaughter and child endangerment.

According to the criminal complaint, on July 18, Stucky’s ex-girlfriend found their baby face-down on the couch under Stucky’s arm.

The mother called 911 and tried to resuscitate the boy.  An autopsy found he died from asphyxiation.

The boy’s mother told police that Stucky drank 24 beers the previous day before going to a bar.

According to the Star Tribune, Stucky was released from jail and is due back in court on Monday.
