Traffic Advisory: Portion of Fourth Street to Close next Week

A portion of Fourth Street in Duluth will close next week as crews prepare for the reconstruction of the street.

Starting Monday, roads will close on Fourth Street between Sixth Avenue East and Wallace Avenue so crews can conduct soil borings.

The closures will be implemented one block at a time and signs will be posted alerting people to the work being done.

Access to homes and businesses will not be affected, and parking will still be permitted while the work is taking place.

The road is expected to fully re-open by Friday, January 8.

Fourth Street is scheduled for major reconstruction of both the road and the utilities beneath it beginning in the Spring of 2016.
