One Dead in Logging Accident near Cook
A 52-year-old man is dead after a logging accident near Cook Thursday night.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident in the 10,000 block of Wein Road just west of Cook around 5:30 Thursday night.
Police say that Scott Thomas was logging a section of woods off of the Wein Road when a large tree that he had been cutting down with a chainsaw fell on top of him.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene.
