Superior Duplex Fire Caused by Smoking

The Superior Fire Department says a fire at a duplex Tuesday morning was caused by negligent smoking. 

Crews were called out to the fire at 1531 Iowa Avenue. 

Police helped evacuate the tenants of the duplex before firefighters arrived. 

Damages are estimated at $2,500. 

Authorities say both apartments are able to be lived in.
