Chief Engineer
Red River Broadcast Group is looking for a Chief Engineer for our station in Sioux Falls, SD.
This individual should have a solid background in RF, video, audio and IT components. A working knowledge of broadcast equipment such as UHF transmitters, microwave systems, satellite receivers and dishes, servers, automation, cameras, production switchers, and digital automation systems. This is a digital environment.
Duties Include: installation, maintenance and repair of analog and digital studio equipment, digital transmitters, satellite downlink receivers and dishes as directed. You must be a self-motivated leader, willing to think outside the box, and possess strong communication skills with a dedication to quality.
Requirements:
– Minimum 5-7 years in a TV broadcast station environment preferred. Nights and weekends may be required.
– Valid Driver’s license and driving record insurable by the company
– A strong IT background
– A College degree, FCC General License or other broadcast industry certification are highly desired.
