Swearing In and Recognition Ceremony Held at the Public Safety Building

14 new st. Louis County Deputies were sworn in, and 20 new corrections officers also took oaths.

A swearing in and recognition ceremony was held at the Public Safety Building in Duluth

14 new st. Louis County Deputies were sworn in, and 20 new corrections officers also took oaths. New employees for other departments, like 911 communications, were also recognized.

“It’s very important for the community to know who will be serving them and what aspects so when they’re out on the road and doing various activities, they’ll know who they are interacting with,” said Jeff Fouts a Deputy Sheriff at the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

Out of the 14 deupties sworn in, 5 have been working in the Sheriff’s office since last june, and 9 joined the office last month.
