Four Killed in Ohio Home Explosion

A family of four was killed after an explosion rocked a home in Northfield, Ohio Monday night.

The victims have been identified as Jeffrey and Cynthia Mather, and their two daughters.

The medical examiner’s office is still working to confirm the identities of the couple’s 8-and-12year-old daughters.

Neighbors say the explosion shook homes throughout the development Monday night.

The Mather’s home was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived just minutes after the explosion.

Investigators have been combing through the wreckage Tuesday to determine what caused the blast.

A local Fire Chief says it does not appear to be caused by a natural gas leak.

Chief Frank Risko says this is the first deadly incident in his 25 years with the department.
