Cooking Connection: Bellisio's Catering
For this week’s cooking connection we made a couple appetizers with Bellisio’s Catering.
Eric Denney, Executive Catering Chef, showed FOX 21’s William Seay how to make bacon-wrapped dates and bruschetta.

-slice and remove pit from dates
-stuff dates with Smoked Gouda cheese
-wrap bacon around date
-seal with toothpick
-place in oven for 5-8 minutes until cheese is melted
-toast bread slices in oven
-dice 2 large roma tomatoes
-1 clove of minced garlic
-diced red onion
-3 leaves of basil
-add salt and pepper
-toss all ingredients with oil
-let sit for 1-2 hours
-place mixture on bread
