Body Found in Eveleth Park Identified

Authorities have identified the man found dead in Monroe Park in Eveleth Thursday.

The Eveleth Police Department says the victim is 29-year-old Kyle Steven Shock of Eveleth.

Police responded to Monroe Park in Eveleth around 7:45 Thursday morning after a resident reported seeing clothing in the park.

When authorities arrived, they found Shock’s body on the ground in the park.

Police say it appeared his body had been in the park for a few hours.

Eveleth Police Chief Tim Koivunen says there were no signs of trauma and foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy will be underway Friday to determine the cause of death.
