Labor Hall Hosts Movie Night to Honor MLK

Duluth labor members and the community gathered Monday night to learn more about civil rights and labor movements that were led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The documentary they played was At The River I Stand.

“Which really kind of goes over the history of the sanitary workers and that’s where Martin Luther King was right before he was assassinated,” said Rachel Loeffler-Kemp.

The MLK Holiday Arts and Culture Festival for Martin Luther King Day went on for five days — with the final event being the movie.
