Authorities Identify Teens Killed in Crash
Two northern Minnesota teens have died in a head-on crash on an icy road in Hubbard County.
Sixteen year old Jacob Bruns of Laporte and 16-year-old Kiara Renollette of Bemidji, were heading south on Highway 71 around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver, who hasn’t been identified, lost control, veered into the northbound lane and struck an oncoming truck.
Minnesota State Patrol says both teens were killed in the crash.
The driver of the truck was seriously injured and taken to a hospital.
An investigation is ongoing.
