Lowell Expanding Language Immersion Program

There are exciting times at Lowell Elementary School in Duluth.

It’s expanding the Ojibwe and Spanish language immersion programs beginning this September.

“Bringing more culture, language, and people to our school and our district is really a positive thing for our kids and our community, now and in the future,” said Crystal Goldman, a Spanish immersion coordinator.

Spanish language immersion will now be offered in three kindergarten sections, and Ojibwe will now be taught in K-2nd grade.
