Active Shooter Reported at California Naval Medical Center

An active shooter has been reported at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.

The Navy Hospital posted the update on their official Facebook page, saying the shooter was reported in Building 26 on campus.

The building is home to offices and barracks for wounded soldiers and Marines, as well as a gym.

Spokespeople would not confirm an active shooter, but did say police are investigating reports of gunshots.

There are no reports of anyone injured.

Authorities are urging those inside of the hospital to “run, hide or fight.”

A middle school and two high schools in the area have been put on lock-down as a precaution.

This is a developing story and we will have more details as they become available.
