First Candidate Enters House District 7B Race
A West Duluth woman is the first to toss her hat into the ring for the Minnesota House District 7B seat.
Liz Olson officially announced her candidacy Wednesday.
Olson is a community advocate, working for TakeAction Minnesota. She has previously worked for CHUM and Generations Health care Initiatives.
Former Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon will serve as Olson’s campaign chair.
Olson plans to hold a campaign kick-off event at Beaners on Monday, February 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The District 7B seat is currently held by Rep. Erik Simonson. Simonson announced his intentions to run for Minnesota Senate District 7 after Senator Roger Reinert announced he will not seek re-election.
