Three Arrested Following High Speed Chase in Ashland County

Three people were arrested Tuesday morning following a high-speed chase in Ashland County.

An Ashland County deputy initiated a traffic stop on State Highway 13 near Morse Cut Off Road around 10 Tuesday morning.

The driver refused to stop and a high speed chase ensued.

Due to poor road conditions and traffic, the Ashland County deputy fell back and requested assistance from a Mellen police officer.

Just after 10 a.m., the Impala struck the back of the Mellen police car and kept going.

The Mellen officer continued to pursue the car until the Impala lost control and went into a ditch on Highway 13.

No one was injured during the incident.

Two men are currently being held at the Ashland County jail pending charges.

Another passenger, a 15-year-old male, was turned over to his mother.

The incident remains under investigation.
