Two Children Dead in Sheboygan Falls House Fire, One Critical
Two children are dead and another is fighting for their life following a late night fire in Sheboygan Falls.
Police say an 11-year-old child alerted the others of the fire. A 9-year-old was able to escape the home and met firefighters outside.
The 11-year-old went back into the home to locate two other kids- ages 9 and 7.
Firefighters located the three in an upstairs bedroom. The 7-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The 9 and 11-year-olds were taken by helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa, where the 11-year-old passed away Wednesday morning.
One firefighter was treated for minor smoke inhalation.
Police are investigating where the parents were when the blaze broke out.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
