Hockey Day Minnesota Schedule Announced

The schedule for the highly-anticipated Hockey Day Minnesota event in Duluth has been released. 

The Hockey Day festivities will kick off with a short parade at 9 a.m. from the Bayfront Park Entrance to the rink.  Parade participants include Mayor Emily Larson, U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan, school mascots, Nordy from the Minnesota Wild, Champ from UMD, an Huskie from the Duluth Huskies, along with Duluth area youth hockey players. 

The smaller rink at Bayfront Park will showcase Mite 1 games from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and an appearance by the Duluth Area Special Sled Hockey team from 3 to 4 p.m. 

The evening will wrap up with an outdoor party at 7 p.m. at Bayfront Park, featuring the Minnesota Wild-St Louis Blues game on the big screen.  The party is free and open to the public. 

The main outdoor rink will see action throughout the afternoon including a Wild sled hockey exhibition game, a Peewee AA match-up between Duluth East and Stillwater, and will end with the Duluth Police Dept. taking on the Duluth Firefighters.
