Groundhog Day: Punxsutawney Phil Predicts Early Spring

If you believe Groundhogs can predict the weather.. get ready to grab your flip-flops, t-shirts and shorts. 

An early Spring is on the way. 

Punxsutawney Phil made his prediction Tuesday morning after emerging from a mock tree stump western Pennsylvania and not seeing his shadow. 

His handlers told the crowd of thousands there will be an early spring this year. 

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration pegs Phil’s accuracy at about 45 percent.
