Snow Emergencies Declared in Washburn, Ashland

Snow emergencies have been declared in Washburn and Ashland, Wisconsin.

In Ashland, the snow emergency will go into effect at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night and continue until all city streets are cleared of snow.

In Washburn, it will go into effect starting at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night and will remain in effect through 8:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4.

Fox 21 Chief Meteorologist Gino Recchia says the Ashland and Washburn areas are expected to get anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of snow with this storm.

A snow emergency means that all vehicles must be removed from all city streets, alleys and parking lots so crews have an easier time removing snow.
