Duluth Airshow to Host USMC Harrier Demo Team
The United States Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier Demonstration Team will soar into Duluth for this year’s airshow.
The Duluth Airshow learned Wednesday that they are one of only four shows in 2016 to host the USMC Harrier Demo Team.
The Harrier is arguably the loudest aircraft in the U.S. Armed Forced, and arguable, the greatest breakthrough in modern day aircraft technology.
The aircraft was the first vertical/short takeoff and landing capable jet in the world giving the U.S. Marines an advantage on the battlefield.
The Duluth Airshow will take place on July 9 and 10 and will feature the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, who have not performed in Duluth since 2010.
