Six People found Dead in Chicago Home

Six people were found dead in a home in Chicago Thursday in what police say is an apparent murder-suicide.

Police were called to the home in Gage Park just after 1:00 Thursday afternoon for a welfare check.

A co-worker called police to check on the woman who lived here, saying she missed two days of work, which was unusual.

When authorities arrived, they found four men, one woman and a child dead inside the home.

Police say there is no known threat to the public.

The cause of death is still under investigation.
