Moose Lake School District Celebrates Milestone

Walls Go Up for New Moose Lake School

In Moose Lake the school district celebrated a milestone.

Crews put up the walls on their new multi-million dollar school Wednesday.

It took five tries before the school district got a referendum passed to build it.

The building currently used dates back to the 1930’s and was left badly damaged by the historic flood of 2012.

The new 144,000 square foot facility will go up on County Road 10.

It’ll be a single level Pre-K through 12th grade school with added security features.

It will also be cost and energy efficient with a modern flair.

The school district’s superintendent, Bob Indihar said construction will be finished in the spring of 2017 and they hope to start in the fall of 2017.

He added the mild winter has helped put them ahead of schedule.
