UMD’s Kotyk Suspended For Illegal Hit

Kotyk will miss Tuesday's game against Bemidji State

The NCHC announced today Brenden Kotyk has been suspended for one game over an illegal hit.

The hit occurred in the third period of Saturday’s game. An elbowing minor was given to Kotyk and later reviewed by the league who followed with the suspension.

This will take Kotyk out of Tuesday’s match up with Bemidji State, a makeā€“up game for the bulldogs.

Kotyk will be eligible to return for the bulldog’s NCHC series against North Dakota in Grand Forks.
