Blizzard Tour Breaks Record, Raises $895K

The Blackwoods Blizzard Tour shattered records this year, raising $895 thousand dollars for the ALS Association and finding a cure. 

The tour kicked off on February 3 with 198 riders. 

Twins Legends Kent Hrbek and Terry Steinbach, both of whom lost their fathers to ALS, were joined on the ride by former Twins Manager Ron Gardenhire and his wife Carol. 

The ride is it’s in 17th year and has raised $7.7 million since it’s inception. 

The Blizzard Tour wrapped up Saturday with a Celebration Dinner at Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth.  Nearly 500 people were in attendance, which is a record amount of guests.

The Polaris Team out of Roseau, Minnesota were the top fundraisers, raising more than $100,000 through local community events and pledges.
