Meeting Held on Proposed Quarry Park Plans

The West Duluth Business Club held a meeting to discuss plans being presented for Quarry Park.

The park has been abandoned since the Duluth Crushed Stoned Company ceased operation.

The park was recently purchased by the city of Duluth.

The city plans to put in a disc golf course and more.

“It will also allow the Duluth climbers to set up the ice beds that they need to do the nationalized climbing,” said Susan Cone, President of West Duluth Business and Civic Club.

Lucas Kramer, with the Duluth Climber Coalition, and Charlie Deville, with Duluth Disc Golf Advocates, were the guest speakers to bring information to the club about how their groups hope to be avid users of the space.
