Duo Nabbed in Duluth Heroin Bust

Two people have been arrested and charged in connection to a heroin bust in Duluth last Friday. 

Duluth Police, along with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Highland Village Drive on the afternoon of February 12. 

During their search, police seized 33.3 grams of heroin packaged to sell, drug paraphernalia and approximately $2,000 in cash. 

25-year-old Bianca Jackson and 29-year-old Shawn Brown, both of Chicago, were arrested and charged with 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. 

Jackson was previously charged with First Degree Controlled Substance Crime back in February of 2015.  She pleaded guilty to the charge earlier this month and is scheduled to be sentenced in March.  

Brown has a lengthy criminal history in Illinois including convictions of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon in a motor Vehicle, Felony Manufacture/ Deliver Marijuana between 30-500 grams, dangerous drugs, two counts of Dangerous Drugs including Sale to a Minor, and Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance.
