MNDot to Raise Speed Limit on Highway 210 in Carlton, Aitkin Counties

The Minnesota Department will raise the speed limit on a long stretch of Highway 210 in Carlton and Aitkin Counties.

The speed limit will increase from 55 miles per hour to 60.  The increase will take place from the junction of Highway 169 to Interstate 35.

Speed limits in McGregor and other towns along the corridor will remain the same.

The speed limit will remain at 55 miles-per-hour until the new 60 mph signs are installed.  The signing project is weather dependent.

MNDot has been analyzing the 55 mph speed limit on all two-lane state highways in the state as part of a legislative mandate to look at the speed limits and make recommendations about increasing the speed to 60 mph.
