Police: Woman’s Body Found Inside Home

Death Investigation Underway

A woman’s body was found Thursday inside a home in Superior.

“They came and taped off the whole house. Then there was people taking pictures of things in the yard, the windows – everything,” said Julie Ulvila, a neighbor.

Police were not saying Tuesday whether the death is suspicious, but they did declare the scene a death investigation.

Investigators say a 60-year-old woman was found dead around 4 p.m. in her home on the 2200 block of Logan Avenue in Superior’s Billing’s Park.

She was discovered by a family member, according to authorities.

Ulvila explained what officers told her Thursday night.

“He came over and told me that they’re investigating a death. They’re not sure if it’s foul play or not… but that they’re going to check into it,” Ulvila said.

“The son lives there. They were going through a divorce – the mom and dad,” Ulvila went on to say.

The name of the deceased woman was not released Thursday.

Police did not believe there was any danger to the public.
