Web Threat Closes Cloquet Schools

Technicians Work to Fix Issue

Cloquet students won’t be heading to school Thursday and it’s not because of weather, it’s because of a cyber threat.

The Cloquet School District Superintendent, Ken Scarbrough, tells us they are dealing with extreme technical issues as they try to recover from a virus.

He says all servers are down and this includes food service, email, curriculum and instruction.

To get everything back up and running technicians need another day.

Staff and students are being discouraged from trying to access district accounts, or use school computers, because it would make it much more difficult for the technicians as they work to fix the issue.
