Eighth Lawsuit Filed Against Children’s Theatre Company

The eighth lawsuit was filed Tuesday against a former employee alleging sexual abuse at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of sexual abuse survivor, Erin Nanasi, in Hennepin County District Court.

Nanasi claims she was sexually abused by Stephen Adamczak in the early 1980’s when she was a student at Children’s Theatre Company.

Adamczak worked at Children’s Theatre Company as a Sound Technician, Sound Designer and Instructor.

Eight lawsuits have been filed on behalf of nine sexual abuse survivors since Decemer of 2015 naming Children’s Theatre as a defendant.    Other staff members, including John Clark Donahue, and Jason McLean, have also been accused of sexually abusing students at Children’s Theatre.

Survivors of sexual abuse have until May 25, 2016 to file a claim under the Child Victims Act.
