Moorhead Police Investigating another Fatal Heroin Overdose

Authorities are investigating after a fourth person has died from an apparent overdose in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

According to KFGO radio, a 20-year-old man died Tuesday night on the Minnesota side of the Red River in Moorhead.

Police say first responders tried to revive the man using Narcan, but their attempts were unsuccessful.

Police Lieutenant Tory Jacobson says it’s likely the heroin was laced with another drug, making it more deadly, similar to a string of recent overdoses in the area responsible for three other deaths in the past month.

Jacobson says paramedics, within the past week, have also responded to two other heroin overdoses in Moorhead in which Narcan was administered successfully.
