Bulldogs Open Spring Football Practice

Spring Ball Ends with Maroon White Game April 22nd

Spring was in the air Monday at Malosky Stadium.  So were footballs, as Curt Wiese led his Bulldogs out for the first workout Of Spring Practice 2016.

83 players took the field Monday afternoon, 57 of them played a season ago, including 15 starters, giving Wiese one of his most experienced groups in his tenure as head coach.

In all, the Bulldogs will take the field 15 times before spring practice ends, but Wiese says there’s just something about the  first day of spring ball.

“It’s exciting to get out of the weight room and out of the gym and have an opportunity for our guys to see the progress they’ve made,” said Wiese.  “It’s an exciting time for us and an important time for us to work some of our kinks out.”

The Bulldogs wrap up workouts April 22nd with the Maroon-White Game at Malosky Stadium.
