Glensheen Prepares for New Tour

Servants Tour to Debut in July

Glensheen just had a record year and they’re hoping to increase those attendance numbers with a brand new tour.

This will be the servants tour. It will go more in depth than the standard tour, showing more of where the servants worked and the tools they used on a daily basis.

Two professional historians have been hired to do research on the servants.

You’ll also learn the backgrounds of the servants who once worked in the historic home.

“So many of the staff that have worked here, their families grew and now are part of our town. You know we have past city councilors that their family heritage started here in the city of Duluth and it’s because we have so many servants that they spread out quickly,” said Dan Hartman, Director of Glensheen Mansion.

The servants tour is coming in July.

If you have any family history connected to Glensheen, they’d love to hear it! Just contact Dan Hartman at dhartman@d.umn.edu.
