One Killed in Highway 53 Rollover

One person was killed after a rollover near Eveleth on Sunday. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a truck was traveling southbound on Highway 53 when it started to veer towards the west ditch.  The driver over-corrected and the car rolled.  

A passenger was ejected from the car. 

The driver, 45-year-old Rebecca Etienne, of Oglivie, and another passenger, 15-year-old Marcel Etienne, were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. 

The accident remains under investigation.
