Robotics Team Raises Money For Trip To World Competition

Sub-zero Robotics is headed to St. Louis April 26.

Esko’s robotics team prepared for their trip to St. Louis for the world competition.

The trip is a costly one coming in around 20,000 dollars, so to offset the costs Sub–zero Robotics posted a gofundme page that garnered community support.

Thursday night they held a chili–feed to continue to raise money for their first trip to the competition.

There will be around 600 teams at the competition. This is Esko’s second year with a team but the competition is growing every year.

“We actually have more first robotics teams in Minnesota than hockey teams right now and the first robotics program in Minnesota and internationally is growing,” said Esko senior, David Pyrlik.

The team leaves April 26th and returns May 1. If anyone would like to help with the teams trip you can visit their gofundme page or donate specifically to the program.
