‘Babies Need Boxes’ Helps At-Risk Mothers
The new non-profit called “Babies Need Boxes,” delivered newborn supplies to at-risk mothers this week.
In all, seven boxes were given to an early childhood center in Duluth.
The non-profit has significantly grown since starting up in January.
The content of the boxes includes a mattress and essential newborn supplies.
“We’ve created about 35 in 2016 through local donations and fundraisers,” said Laura Bixler, a volunteer.
The mattress fits within the box to act as a temporary bed for a baby.
