Cause of Death Undetermined for Twin Cities CEO found on Rainy River

The cause of death for a Twin Cities CEO whose body was found on the Rainy River has been ruled undetermined by the UND Forensic Pathology Center in Grand Forks.

However, autopsy results for 52-year-old John Stiglich are still pending toxicology and microscopic examination.

The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call late Monday morning about a body floating in the river.

Authorities recovered the body of Stiglich, who is from Shoreview, Minnesota, just before noon.

Police say they believe they have now located his 14 foot camouflage boat.

Plans to recover the boat are set for early next week.
