Chicago Man Nabbed in Duluth Drug Investigation

A Chicago man has been arrested and charged in connection to a drug investigation in Duluth. 

The Duluth Police Department and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force arrested 26-year-old Deonte Antonio Bowery, of Chicago, on Monday.

Bowery was under investigation for controlled substance crimes. 

Authorities recovered 24 grams of heroin and $383 cash in the inner pocket of Bowery’s underwear.  They also found 30 packages of white heroin and 10 packages of brown heroin in the front pocket of his underwear. 

Police also located $7,100 cash in a nightstand inside of the room he was staying in. 

Bowery was taken to jail and has been charged with 1st Degree Sale of a controlled substance, and two counts of 3rd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. 

He has prior convictions for Controlled Substance Crimes out of Illinois from 2013.
