American Red Cross Seeks Volunteers

The Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross is searching for new members and volunteers to help when our communities need it most.

A training program will be taking place May 21 in Virginia.

“They will be trained and lunch will be provided. By the end of the day, they will be able to go out and assist a volunteer on a fire,” Red Cross representative Tony Guerra said.

The training program equips volunteers with the tools to respond to disasters in in our community and nationally.

Pre-registration is required for this training event, so if you’d like to participate contact the Red Cross office in Duluth. or e-mail them at nancy.rogers2@redcross.org.

The American Red Cross has been providing relief since the days of the Civil War.
