Duluth Native Ham Offered Tryout by Vikings

Denfeld Grad was Standout Running Back at Augustana

Duluth native C.J. Ham got a taste of the NCAA Division II football playoffs last fall as the senior helped Augustana to the school’s first post season berth since 2010.

The former Denfeld High School standout isn’t done with football yet.  Ham was offered a tryout with the Minnesota Vikings, as well as an invite to rookie camp later this week at Winter Park.

Ham rushed for 1,043 yards last fall and scored 15 touchdowns.

He’s the first Duluth native to get an invite to Vikings rookie camp since Garth Heikkinen of Duluth Central and UMD in 2013.
