North shore Scenic Railroad Season Kicks Off

Last Year More Than 85,000 People Rode the Train

It was all aboard Friday for the North Shore Scenic Railroad.

The tourist train was back on track to kick off its 2016 tourist season.

The first excursion lasted 90 minutes and took passengers from the Duluth depot to the Lester River and back.

Last year more than 85,000 people rode the train.

In May, trains will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, with two trips each day.
