Annual Food Drive has Letter Carriers Picking up more than Mail
Coffee Conversation: Stamp Out Hunger
For this week’s Coffee Conversation we chatted about an annual food drive helping folks all over the Northland.
The 24th Annual Letter Carrier’s Food Drive to Stamp Out Hunger gets underway this weekend.
Since its beginning, the food drive has raised more than one billion pounds of food nationwide.
During this drive letter carriers will be picking up food donations left by a mailbox.
To help out, just leave non-perishable food items by your mailbox before 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 14.
You can also help by volunteering. If interested in volunteering call Meg Kearns, Director of CHUM Food Shelf, at 218-727-2391.
